Big Bro had his second co-op class and today, he said it was awesome!
Last week , it was terrific, so guess he is enjoying his learning!
His teacher brought in examples of living vs. nonliving and vertebrates vs. invertebrates, which made me happy, as it reinforced some of the work we have been doing at home on our shelves.
Today, Big Bro loved seeing the mama and baby garter snakes, the snake skin, the rocks, the bark, and the crab shell.
In our homeschool before we had co-op, Big Bro and Little Bro worked together on a new classification work about living things. They had to match the specimens to the cards.
They both loved this work!
Was going to try to make something similar to this myself, but theirs had so many nice specimens that I decided it was worth the money. The boys and I still plan to make some additional cards from what we collect when we do our nature scavenger hunts and nature walks.
Big Bro and his tower with interlocking blocks.
Big Bro and binomial cube work.
Big Bro and color mixing work.
More color mixing...after making the colors, he then painted with them.
