Dear Hubby was off on Monday so we had an extra long (and fun) weekend, filled with swimming, t-ball, and visits to Disney, the Florida Aquarium, and the Lowry Park Zoo.
All in all, a fantastic weekend!
On tuesday, we did decide to watch President Obama's address from the comfort of our sofa, as regardless of whether or not we personally agree with all of his various policies, Dear Hubby and I both felt that showing respect for the Office of the President and listening to him speak about studying hard and staying in school was a good message for our children to hear.
We made popcorn and watched this speech as a family. We had read the speech script in advance, so we felt that we knew what he was going to say.
I actually have a clip on You Tube about the opinion from the Peanut Gallery:

As for other learning, we have been listening to some of our favorite music this week...Putamayo CDs.
We have been reading the various "Bear" books by Bill Martin and illustrated by Eric Carle. The idea was to read the Baby Bear one to go over the animals of North America and to read the Brown Bear one to review color words in English and Spanish, but the boys enjoyed these books so much that we have been doing things with all four of the books...
Here is Little Bro doing a new extension to wooden numbers and counters work...thanks to the person who gratiously made these and had them posted as freebies. Little Bro loved them!
A new extension to the Pink Tower. Thanks to the lovely person who made these for us.
