A Little Tweaking for Push Pin Map Work

This image is upside down and unfortunately, I can't seem to flip it to be right side up...but this shows the paper control of error flags chart that I made by making a copy of the reverse side of the push pin map.
Big Bro loves the Push Pin Map.

The only issue is that the Control of Error, in this case, a chart showing the flags of the world, is printed on the reverse side...that just was not working for Big Bro, as he wanted to be able to refer to the flags chart as he was doing the work...so, we solved this by taking the wooden map to Office Depot and making a color copy of the back side of the board...
Since it is so large, I had to actually make two copies and then, I had to piece the two together.
With a little cutting and taping, we got something that works for us...

Now, Big Bro wants to do this work all of the time...he has chosen it four times this week alone!

Little Bro now wants to get into the action. He knows some of the flags and some of the countries, but is very enthusiastic to learn them all.

Big Bro has also been sharing his knowledge of this work with Little Bro.
Big Bro also shared his work with his grandparents, Papa and G, who were in town visiting us.

Such a cool work! What makes it even more special is that Papa and G got to see him enjoying the work so much and then, seeing Little Bro jump into the action.

Where did you get your push pin flag map?

Snow white would LOVE this! I just wonder what little fortune we would have to pay for that here.

Thanks for sharing!

This actually wasn't too expensive...bought it at Alison's Montessori. Will send you the link to it. What I liked about it was that the "push pins" are actually small wooden dowels and the flags are encased in hard plastic covers, rather than just being laminated, so it is much moe kid friendly to young children, as compared to the thinner pin maps.
