Okay, I need to lose weight. I have actually needed to lose it for sometime now, as I packed on the pounds for all three pregnancies.
Have been starting to be a healthier, better eater and have been cutting out most of the junk in my diet. But still sometimes, I need a little snack.
So finding tasty treats that are right around the 100 calorie point is always a plus...a little taste of yumminess without going overboard.
Even though Big Bro and Little Bro do not need to worry about their weight, as they are both thin, we still try to keep an eye on their diet and have healthy snacks around, such as grapes, apple slices, carrot sticks, and broccoli bits. But when they get in a mood for something sweet, it is good to have something around that is not completely loaded with sugar and fat.
A sweet treat that both Little Bro and I love are the Archer Farms Cinnamon Rolls Tiny Treats from Super Target. The serving size is two rolls but if you only eat one, then you are right at 105 calories and 4 grams of fat. They are tasty whether you eat them cold, at room temperature, or warmed.
They taste like homemade rolls, but without nearly the regular fat and sugar content if you were to make them from scratch.
These little rolls work well for a practical life - snack work, in that they do not require refrigeration, and they come in a rather lightweight, small plastic container so you can keep them on a lower shelf in your food pantry and your child will be able to help himself.
Our boys have plates that they generally use for snack time, so all Little Bro has to do if he wants one of these rolls is go to the pantry, get the box out, open it, place a roll on his plate, and then, bring it to his seat.
Big Bro does not care for cinnamon and does not have much of a sweet tooth at all, so he tends to stick with carrots and pretzels. But Little Bro and I seem to like a sweet treat every once in a while and these hit the spot!
Well, just thought that I would share, as that was my snack for today...yummy!
