New Work - Festive, Fun, Halloween Themed Ones

This is the boys' Halloween Village.
For their work, they will get to re-design the village daily by moving the little buildings and then, they will create stories to go with their village. Even though these are make-believe buildings, many homes here in Florida go all out with inflatable balloon decorations, so this little village is more realistic for mine than maybe in some other places...we don't decorate much, other than a few pumpkins and some orange pumpkin lights. We just do enough to make our home look inviting for the little trick-or-treaters without it being over-the-top.
A few years ago, I found some tiny Halloween costumes that were meant to go on a bear, but switched out the bear and used some mice, including the mouse from this story, The Halloween Play, by Felicia Bond. Felicia Bond illustrated the Laura Joffe Numeroff stories, including If you Give a Mouse a Cookie.
These costumes really prove to be excellent fine motor practice, as they are a bit challenging to get onto the mice.
The costumes:
A frog, a ladybug, a lion, a dog, a jack-o-lantern, a pig, an elephant, a cow, and a duck.
The book is cute and is not all all scary. We do not do scary things for Halloween. We mostly focus on pumpkins, but do a few lighthearted works as well...

Practical life work - Folding a napkin and using a napkin ring.
Made a napkin ring out of a Jack-o-lantern coaster from Target.
Added a Halloween kitchen towel (again, from Target) to work as the napkin.
.
Halloween dough work...orange scented dough, Halloween cookie cutters, an old Silpat that I cut into two pieces, and a pair of dough scissors.
Bead Transfer - One to many...For this work, I used ghost / pumpkin votive candle holders.
