New Pen Pals! How Exciting!

The boys are very excited, as they are starting to have more pen pals.

They received a letter from a new pen pal from Canada.
She attends a Montessori School in Ontario and said that she likes learning about the parts of a plant. Here is a photo of the boys and their letters and drawings...

Big Bro was very happy to hear that his new pen pal enjoys science, as he loves science too.
Little Bro was happy to learn that he shares the same birthday as his new pen pal.
Our new pen pal wanted to know if we had a pet, so here is a photo of our pup:

Both Big Bro and Little Bro wrote a letter back to their new buddy.
They also drew some pictures, sent some goodies, and asked her some questions.
Big Bro and Little Bro had so much fun doing it that they have decided to also send out other letters...so they have prepared some letters for their friends in Virginia, their friends in Manitoba, their buddy in Michigan, their friends in Maryland, as well as their buddies that Mommy has met through her most recent continents swap.
Right as we were wrapping up our letter writing time, we got an email asking us to be friends with a family in Indonesia, so that will be neat, too.
We just love pen pals!
Did them as a kid and really enjoyed learning about life in other places.
Had been enjoying doing pen pal projects through an online pen pal program that had been just fabulous but has been slammed with spam this year. Got so bad that I have temporarily stopped doing the online pen pal option.
There is definitely something to be said for doing it the old fashioned way...getting letters or a care package with a letter and goodies in the mail is so much fun!
