Weekend Fun

Today turned out to be a fun day, even though it wasn't quite what we had planned.
What we had planned was to drive to Orlando and go to Downtown Disney and Aquatica.
We also were going to work on our sign scavenger hunt* along the way too.
What we ended up doing was a little different...we did make it to Downtown Disney, but mostly stayed at the Lego store. They have added some new Lego sculptures both outside the store and in the store, so we were enjoying looking at those.
Then, of course, we ended up getting a couple new sets.
We walked around and then, headed over to Aquatica but they were already at capacity for the day, and had a sign saying to come back at 4pm.Well, it wasn't even 11, so this was not going to work...so, instead, we headed to Celebration, played in the water fountain, and found a few more signs.
When we got home, we were anxious to get cracking on building our Lego sets. So, with Daddy's assistance, Big Bro and Little Bro built their new sets and then spent the rest of the night playing with them.
All in all, it was a nice day.

* In case you are wondering about our sign scavenger hunt, we are looking for signs from our region. We have found three of the fifteen we are looking for, so far:
Do Not Feed The Alligator sign.
Cart Parking Only sign.
Disney World Resort sign.

Hi!

Just found your blog through Shannon's Sharings. I maintain what I call the "Ultimate Montessori Blog List" over at my blog and will add you just as soon as I've had a chance to look through and see which categories are appropriate.

I can't wait to get reading!

Hi!
Thanks for finding my blog. It has only been up and running for a few days. You mentioned categories, so I checked out the categories you have listed...
We fit into:
Homeschool, ages 3-6 w/ a Trained Teacher - former multi-states certified teacher: pre-k through grade 8, all subjects, plus add'l training - Montessori (3-6), gifted & reading...who now is a stay-at-home mommy and homeschool teacher.
Also wanted to let you know that my sons had the same outfits your sons are wearing in the photo on your blog! Loved those overalls and the blue-brown striped sweater outfit. We now live in Florida, so we don't sport too many sweaters anymore...but they used to wear them when we lived in VA.
